ITAR International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) Compliant

 

Advanced Plating Technologies is registered with the Department of State as an approved metal finishing supplier of defense and military related technologies.  ITAR is a set of United States regulations that exist to safeguard US National security and further US foreign policy objectives.  Advanced Plating Technologies currently services the defense industry in numerous principle plated, passivation and powder coating finishes.  If you have a critical defense metal finishing application, Advanced Plating Technologies has the policies, systems, documentation controls, and procedures in place to handle sensitive documentation under the ITAR requirements.


 

BAT Federal Firearms License (FFL)

Advanced Plating Technologies is registered with Department of Justice with an active Type 10 Federal Firearms License (FFL).  A FFL is the requisite license to manufacture or finish serialized firearm components for the firearms industry or specific destructive devices for DoD.  Advanced Plating Technologies provides various Tacti-black & electroless nickel plated finishes on firearms and firearm components as well as various finishes within the ammunition industry.

 


 

RoHS Compliant  RoHS Compliance

Advanced Plating Technologies offers fully RoHS Compliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) finishes consistent with the European Union’s directive 2002/95/EC.  All finishes with the exception of lead and tin/lead plating provided by Advanced Plating Technologies are RoHS compliant and can be certified accordingly.  For a full list of Advanced Plating Technologies and their compliance with the RoHS directive is available on our current line card of finishing services.

 


 Conflict Minerals Free

Advanced Plating Technologies (APT) has adopted policies and systems that require our suppliers/vendors selling products to APT to have a policy that reasonably assures APT that any tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold purchased does not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups that are perpetuators of serious human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or any adjoining country.  APT requires its vendors to exercise due diligence on the source and chain of custody of these minerals and make their measures available to APT upon request.  Our suppliers and vendors are responsible for putting a process in place to communicate these requirement to suppliers and monitor their supplier’s compliance with these requirements.
