2018 SHOT Show Set For January 23-26

Advanced Plating Technologies will be exhibiting at the 2018 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. This year’s show marks a milestone 15 years that APT has exhibited at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show. This will also be the 40th Anniversary of the show which is held each year and organized by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and is the largest of its type for the shooting, hunting and firearms industry.

“We have seen the ammunition and firearm industry at high and low points throughout our tenure with providing surface finishing solutions. I think it shows very positive about the industry and the NSSF to be able to continuously provide a high quality show for 40 years”, said Technical Sales Manager, Matt Lindstedt. Advanced Plating Technologies will be showcasing its full line of proprietary ammunition and firearm cornerstone finishes at the show: Ducta-Bright 7a® Nickel, Black-TPD®, Eclipse-TPD® and Tacti-Black® Electroless Nickel as well as copper plating for bullets and projectiles.

“Our engineering and production staff has been hard at work developing new surface finishing technologies and we are excited to be pushing a new post-plate finish option, HP+™, for use on our black nickel and black electroless nickel finishes” said Sales & Marketing Associate, Scott Benson. HP+™ is a proprietary process in which a rare earth metal molecular sealer is bonded to the surface which enhances the depth of the black and reduces the luster (brightness) of the finish. It will also improve dry film lubricity and corrosion resistance.
