Notes: 1. Thickness of Plating: Unless otherwise specified, the minimum plating shall be as specified on all visible surfaces which can be touched by a ball 0.75" in diameter. 2. Heating of Springs & Hardened Parts: Unless otherwise specified, plated parts having a hardness of greater than Rockwell C40 shall e heated at 191 degrees +- 14 degrees Celsius. For 3 hours after plating. Hardened parts which have been treated less than 191 degree Celsius including carborized parts, shall not be heated as above, but treated by a method approved by the procuring agency. When Plated spring are to be heated, they shall not be flexed prior to heating operation. 3. Intended Use: Gold Plating provides a durable, tarnish resistant finish intended primarily for engineering application that require high electrical contact conductivity and permanently low electrical contact resistance. 4. Solderability requirements must be met on the above military spec. (Mil-G-45204, Type II, Grade C, Class 1)
