Application: Electroplating tin on metals and the properties of the deposit primarily to prevent galling or seizing of metal surfaces, to provide a surface for soldering, and to prevent the formation of case during nitriding.
Appearance: Specified on Print
Plate Thickness: Can vary between 0.0001-0.0008 inches as specified on print
Strike Thickness: For solderability of copper-zinc alloy parts, a copper plate 0.0001 inches when specified.
Notes: Double plating and spotting-in after plating are not permitted. Thickness shall be in accordance to ASTM B476, ASTM B499, ASTM B504, ASTM B545, ASTM E376 or as agreed upon.
