Plate Thickness: Condition A (300, 400, 600 AISI series)-40-60% nitric acid; Condition B – 15-25% nitric acid; Condition C (non-free machining stainless steels)-20% nitric acid; Condition D (all non-free machining except as noted in condition C)-50% nitric acid plus 3oz/gallon of sodium dichromate; Condition E (free machining stainless steel) – 5% sodium hydroxide, 20% nitric acid plus 3 oz/gallon sodium dichromate, 5% sodium hydroxide; Condition F (Citric Acid Passivation)-Passivate per ASTM A967-01; Condition G-Passivate per ASTM A967-01
