Advanced Plating Technologies (APT) is a fourth generation, family/veteran owned metal finishing job shop located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. APT is known nationally for its expertise in conductive and functional coatings across a range of demanding industries. Processes include loose-piece rack, barrel and vibratory plating as well as powder coating and passivation services. Much more than just a coatings provider, the company offers diverse surface engineering support including new product design consulting as well as reverse engineering of existing metal finishing issues including corrosion or adhesion failures, contact cycle life, solderability, brazing or ultrasonic welding (USW) issues.
Originally founded in 1948 as Artistic Plating Company, the name was changed in 2013 to align with the technical focus and vision of the company. Today APT employes over eighty people and operates nine production lines in three facilities positioning the company in the top 10 percentile of job shops nationally. With a flawless record of environmental stewardship and leadership on national, state and local environmental issues, APT represents the best in Wisconsin entrepreneurship.
